I'm back from Roswell!  It went really well and I made a lot of new friends.  Here's some of the folks I met:

Tiffany Pascal of Femme Schismtiffany-pascal.com

Devin Kraft of Dragon Slayercheshirecatart.com

Jake Ekiss of Sun-Dogsjakeekiss.deviantart.com

I've already signed up for next year and hopefully it'll be bigger than ever.  In just a few weeks I'll be at Steel City Con in Pennsylvania and then in November I'll be at the Lauglin UFO Symposium in Las Vegas.  Unless something comes up really shortly, that'll probably be all the cons I do for the rest of 2015.  I'm working really hard on getting the second volume ready for print while keeping up with updates, so my schedule is pretty jammed packed when I'm not traveling (and honestly I could use any extra time I can squeeze in).

Speaking of the second volume, if you'd like to make my life a little easier, you can always support my Patreon!  I recently refurbished the tiers a little and added a new reward.  On Saturdays, I'm going to have a private group draw on DrawPile just for my Patreon folks.  You don't have to be an artist; you can just come and hang! :D

Over the July 4th weekend, Dave and I will be in Roswell for the UFO Festival and Cosmicon (Comic Con).  I don\'t have a floor map of the convention hall but if they update with one soon, I\'ll put it up.  In the meantime, you can follow the link in our convention schedule below.  I\'ll be signing and selling books, prints, and pins.  Please join us for alien fun! :D

Haha! Roger, your trauma is hilarious.

So Dave nearly broke his toe last week while we prepared for a garage sale.  We really thought he broke it but it turns out he just very nearly fractured it.  They told us that if he had knocked it out of the socket (as some folks are known to do) he would have had to have it reset surgically.  That would have been really awful! :(

In other non-toe related news, I\'ve put up a bunch of redos for Chapter 5 on Trying Human: First Tries and hit 30% completion for Volume 2!  Check them out. <3

I’d like to officially announce that Trying Human is a full member of Hiveworks!  I’ve sort of been a beta member for quite awhile but now I’m a full fledged Hiveworks bee with my own little honeycomb. ouo

For most of yins, it won’t be that big of a change but if you’re using any auxiliary comic sites to read TH, by the end of the month it won’t be there.  Obviously, I’ll still be updating on Patreon and tryinghuman.com (and introducingemy.com for other comics) so no worries.

Thank you to everyone who’s followed the comic this far on its little meandering road through the internet. :3

In August I'll be attending Steel City Con outside of Pittsburgh, PA so this is a great chance for North Eastern folks to meet me.  Hope to see you there!

Sorry for the lack of updates (both news and pages) for about a week there.  I have some big news coming soon but I need to wait a little longer before I announce it.

In news I can actually talk about, I finally got my overhead camera rig and have begun uploading videos to my Patreon.  We're just a short chunk a change away from out monthly wallpaper goal!

On May 2nd I'll be at Nostalgic Books and Comics in San Gabriel, California selling and signing books.  I'll also be doing sketches and whatnot to celebrate free comic book day.  Please drop by and see me!

I've restocked two of my artbooks.  Get 'em while the gettin's good!

Either today or tomorrow my overhead camera rig will be here.  I'm sooo excited!  I can't wait to start doing videos of my layouts for Trying Human and some of my other traditional art.

I've managed to get a table (a fairly big one too) at Cosmicon in Roswell, New Mexico.  It's the July 4th weekend during the UFO festival so I'm super excited to see all the other UFO buffs and alien lookie-loos.  I'll be in the Rowell Convention Center on the 3rd and 4th and it's only $5 to get in.  Please come see me! <3

Thanks to the generous support of my patrons through Patreon, I've been able to purchase a digital camera!  It arrived today but I'm still waiting for the overhead rig to come.  I'm going to mount it over my drawing desk and record my layouts for Trying Human as well as some traditional art.  Some of the videos will be available through my Youtube but most of them will be through Patreon (since they're the folks who got it for me in the first place).  I might also make some videos about my UFO and alien abduction book collection but I don't know if folks would be too interested in that.

If you're still not on the Trying Human Patreon, you should really check it out!  Right now we're working on getting to $350 for monthly Trying Human wallpapers.  I'm going to be making some new reward pools over the weekend (commissions, original art, postcards, etc.) so keep an eye on it.

He's such a grump!  Let a girl have her aliens~  This page has gone up for everyone at the same time because it's super late (computer issues, urgh).  I'll be back on my normal schedule of updating early for the Patreon supporters starting with the next update.

This isn't a 'real' update so there's no page attached to this, but I just wanted to give everyone a little news on where I've been.  I just got back from HanadokiCon and had a great time delivering my panel on how to start your own webcomic.  I think it went over really well, but if you were there and have more questions, my email is emy.bitner@introducingemy.com

I hurt my hand shortly before the panels so I barely got any drawing done in the past week but in the meantime, I've reordered EMpathY and the Trying Human Artbook Volume 2.  They should be here within the week and up in the store.  I'll have more on that soon.

I'm also considering changing my layout here on the front page a little.  I'd like it to be little less crowded and I think the only way I can do that is by making the site a little wider but I'm scared to fiddle with it too much since folks seem pretty comfortable with this width.  I'll play around with it and try not to break everything :X

Remember, Rose, Hue you are!

I'm going to be at HanadokiCon 2015 this Friday giving a panel on how to start a webcomic.  It's my first time doing a panel 100% on my own so we'll see how this goes.  We'll also have some books for sale before and after the panel and I'll be availabe for signings as well. :D
