...I feel tons better.

Nothing much going on this week except that the last Kickstarter packages are being sent over the next two weeks.  If you're sad that you missed the first Kickstarter (for Volume 1), have no fear; unless the first volume sells exceptionally well, there will most definitely be a second Kickstarter (for Volume 2).

If you still haven't picked up your own Trying Human paperback, check out the store.  They're going fast! <3  I've put a little banner down below to make finding the first volume easier.

I'm back from my trip and I had a total ball.  You can see pictures from trip in the Trying Human Tumblr!  TH Volume 1 has made it into the library at the International UFO Museum in Roswell, NM and I couldn't be happier.  I'm currently working with the museum to see if I can sell it in the giftshop in the fiction section.  Wouldn't that be super cool? :D

If it doesn't work out, that's okay.  I'm still going to go back and have a TH booth at the UFO festival they have every summer.  TH will be in Roswell one way or another.

Sorry that I dissappeared for a week there.  We finally got the Trying Human Volume 1 books and the paperbacks are now on sale in our store.  The hardbacks are still a few weeks away for non-Kickstarter folks.  Click here to preorder your very own!  They'll begin shipping on the 11th (the day after my birthday)!

Speaking of birthdays, I'm spending mine in Roswell, NM so this weekend I'll be away from my computer and in the library at the International UFO Museum. :D So excited!

The Trying Human Volume 1 books were supposed to be here yesterday.  Keyword: SUPPOSTA

I'm not sure where they are, but they're not here and I'm super impatient.  Hopefully today?  Please?

Have a lot work to do? Can't go to space.  Going to another planet? Let me clear my schedule.  So finicky this one.

I just got word from the printer that my Volume 1 books are on their way.  They should be here October 20th!  I'm so excited.  I have the shipping supplies ready to go.  I'm going to be a packing, signing, shipping machine come October. :B

...is a-go!  Sorry it's an update late.  It took me a lot longer to finish this cover than I thought it would.  It's by far the most complicated cover I've done for Trying Human.

I also had a little pause in my schedule due to my test prints of Volume 1 coming in.  They look great!  The rest of the books will be shipped to me and be ready for sale by November.  I'm very excited!  You can see pictures of them in the Trying Human blog here:  tryinghuman.tumblr.com

... Of Chapter 18.  Almost had you there for a second, didn't I?  Chapter 19 will be starting on Tuesday, September 23, 2014!  Two new characters are going to be joining the gang, as well as a dramatic confrontation between Roger and Hue. Oh my!

I forgot to mention last time that the store is back up with some new original art: http://tryinghuman.storenvy.com/  Have a looksie if anything strikes your fancy.  I'm also offering art commissions in my blog: Commissions!  I'm trying to earn enough to take a trip to Roswell for my birthday on November 10th.  I've never been and I really want to go. >u<;;;

One more page and we're done with Chapter Eighteen!  It's always very exciting and nerve-wracking for me moving onto the next part of the story; so much work and so little time.

Over the weekend I purchased a new post office box closer to my home.  If you'd like to send fanmail for TH, the address is below.  I love to read and reply to it! <3

Two pages left and then we're onto Chapter 19!  I'm excited since it'll be FJ12 and Pigment's first scene in the comic with speaking roles and everything! :D

In other news, Tapastic has started their support program to make a better payment and reward experience for webcomic authors.  So far, I’m think this is a much better platform than Patreon.  Rather than paying a lump sum to earn reward tiers (like Patreon and Kickstarter) you pay a little every month to earn bigger rewards over time.

There’s a handy dandy countdown on the supporters page that shows you which milestone reward you’re close to earning.  You also get all the lower reward tiers that are only available to supporters (early updates, concept art, script previews, etc.).  Check it out!

I’m so impressed with Tapastic’s system that I might like to phase out my Patreon in favor of this.  Please consider switching from Patreon to Tapastic to get awesome books and things! :D
