I'll be attending Free Comic Book Day at Nostalgia Books and Comics in San Gabriel, CA.  I'll be selling and signing books as well as doing drawings for sketch covers.  I'm also going to be going to the Laughlin UFO Symposium in November (just a few days after my birthday)!  I'm really excited for that one since it'll be my first UFO unless the Roswell UFO Gathering gets back to me about a table.

Speaking of UFOs (are we ever not?), I got Kelly Cahill's Encounter book.  It's been out of print for a long time and is fairly hard to get in the states.  I managed to get it from an Australian used book store's auction and it came with the bonus of having notes throughout the book from the previous owner.  A lot of my ufology books are marked up pretty well by other folks in the community and it's always interesting to read their notes.

The alien 'leader' or 'doctor' that Kelly reports encountering in 1993 reminds me so much of EBE1 but perhaps a little more expressive.  He's really dismissive and sardonic though, and that's pretty close to Eebs. :B

I love how happy Longus is to introduce Don to his friends. It's almost like he's seeking approval from Rose to make sure Don checks out. XD

Also, I'm back from the Long Beach Comic Expo! I hope I got to meet some of you there. My next con is Hanadoki at the end of the month.  The info is down below!  I'll at least be there on Friday but if I don't get an artist alley table, I'll be back home by Friday evening. :X

Oh boy I've missed drawing her! It's been like two chapters since she's had a really meaty interesting scene.

Sorry for the little hiatus there.  If you want to know what was going on with me, here's a video blog post thing-y getting into it: http://youtu.be/1NJmKmR_ym0  That'll probably be the last I have to say on the matter.  I don't like getting into my health issues too much online. :X

In the meantime, I've added a map of where I'll be seated during the Long Beach Comic Expo next weekend.  If you check the roster below, you can click on the 'Artist Alley' link to see the map, address, and other relevant information.  I'm still waiting to hear back from Hanadoki Con about my table but I did get my panel approved, so if you want to see me gab about making webcomics in person, be sure to get a ticket to Hanadoki Con! :D

I’ve been confirmed for a table at the Long Beach Comic Expo but I’m still waiting to hear back about my 'How to Start a Webcomic' panel at Hanadoki Con.  Click the links below for con details!  I hope I see some of you there.

PS - I'll also be handing out ~exclusive~ 'Trying Human' badge ribbons so drop by my table to get one. :D

Yay!  They're back; I've missed them.

I updated the Trying Human Patreon account with a new project of a monthly TH wallpaper if we can meet $350 a month.  I thought that'd be a really awesome goal to meet (and it also gives me an excuse to draw other TH things besides the comic itself...).  Go here to check out the TH Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/introducingemy

Oh my goodness! Sorry this page took so long. I spent a lot of time working on the backgrounds to make them super rainbow-y. I want the earth scenes to be really colorful compared to the scenes on the alien ships or at the bases. :X  A sharp eye (or a Ufology obsessed mind) may recognize the book as a parody of Whitley Strieber's Communion.  Neeeat.

Over the break, I added some new stuff to the store like the Trying Human hardback, a poster, and a print.  Check them out!  tryinghuman.storenvy.com/

My break is starting... NOW.  Before I go though, I've put the Trying Human Volume 1 hardbacks and Trying Human circuit jeweled pins back up in the store: http://tryinghuman.storenvy.com/  There's also some original art moseying around in there as well.  Have a nice holiday break and be safe! Love you guys! Byyyyes!

My work on the Kickstarter rewards is nearly done.  I've only one tier left to ship before I go home for the holidays.  Speaking of holidays, just a reminder that starting next Wednesday (the 24th) I'll be gone for a week.  When I get back, the updates will begin again along with a new scene.  I hope you've missed Longus, Don, and Rose! :D

And Roger...! ;u;

As usual, I'll be heading back to Pennsylvania on the 24th to stay and visit for a week.  During that time there won't be any updates.  It's a ways off but better to mention it now than to surprise you with nothing.  When I get back, the hardback version of Trying Human Volume 1 will go on sale in my store.  Yay!

I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend.  Dave made Thanksgiving dinner for his Buddhist temple (and I bummed around doing nothing because I'm a terrible cook).  They've asked us to help make dinner for next year so that's something. :D

Over the holiday break, Hivemill went live.  Hivemill is the official Hiveworks store where you can purchase books and prints related to the webcomics they host.  I've have an exclusive print available through them: http://hivemill.com/products/trying-human-equilateral-print  You can also find Trying Human Volume 1 in the books section.  I'm excited to see all the new stuff they have.
